The brand’s name, Sī, is the intertwining of the founder’s vision and the Italian influence from her husband, carrying Cantonese and Italian roots. Sī is the transliteration of silk (絲/si1/), and the accent signifies the first flat tone in Cantonese. Sī is the Italian affirmative word for ”YES”, and it's the “WILL” to recapture the value from upcycled silks and create conscious timeless pieces. Sī is all about breathing new life into the old. The brand only uses post-cutting silk fabrics from Hong Kong-known suppliers to craft our exclusive made-to-order clothing and accessories. We believe a good design maximises on existing resources and reduces pre-production wastage. Steering clear of ever-changing trends in favour of creating exclusive timeless pieces to cherish, Sī keeps the production deliberately small. We go with the flow in silk — the collections/pieces are improvised out of the quantity and structure of the silk offcuts we receive.
